Members’ resolutions at General Meetings
Members’ resolutions, signed by a proposer and seconder, must be received, in writing, by the Chairman or one of the trustees at least 7 days in advance of the meeting.
The trustees can decline to accept a members’ resolution if:
• the trustees consider that the resolution deals with the same issues as another resolution which is to be considered at the same GM, or that it deals with something which has been dealt with in a GM resolution in the previous three years; or
• at least two-thirds of the trustees think that the resolution is not materially relevant to the charity’s work.
