The Woods

Nore Barn Woods cover about 6 Acres of hawthorn and oak woodland . Some parts have a dense canopy. Where canopy is less dense many species of flowers exists, including bluebells. The Woods are in two areas North and South the latter being accessible to the public. The northern area is of a different character and is a typical example of a “wet woodland”.

To the soth of the woods there are extensive view over Chichester Harbour with salt marsh exposed at low water.

 

The woods are only a short walk from Emsworth, follow the Wayfarers walk from the end of Warblington Rd, heading west.
